Returning?!?!

I bet you are wondering if I am ever coming back?!  Have no fear!  More videos will be back in the VERY near future.  I have just left my job and will now be able to devote a lot more time to ... well my amazing artistry :)  I have my twitter and facebook accounts all set up - now I just need to make this one pretty and draw and draw and draw!  Watch this space.  More coming Soon!!

The Epilator

So - in the past few years I have come to strongly dislike hair.  All hair everywhere.  I am finally able to handle the hair on my head (I went through a short nearly bald phase for lots of years).  But I can't handle any hair anywhere else!!!  Luckily - I am blond and relatively sparsely haired (hmmm...that doesn't sound like a real phrase but you get what I mean).

I have been waxing and shaving for years.  I also just went through a course of laser hair removal, but since I am blond it doesn't get rid of everything.  Anyways - so my friends rave about epilating.  And how everything grows back way thinner and it takes a lot longer to grow back...and blah blah blah...amazing amazing amazing...

So I bought an epilator.  It was pretty expensive but I was having a random shopping day (buying gifts for Xmas of course and coming home with lots of fun things for myself).  This epilator does everything!  Has 5 different settings - including shaving options and a light.  Sounds great right?!

I finally got brave enough to use it.  While I can appreciate it now (lovely being hairfree) - it was rather traumatic getting to this stage of hairfree-ness.

Road Rage

So - I have a confession to make.  I have Road Rage!  Not a strong case of it, but it flairs up from time to time.  And its even more noticable since I moved to England.  Of course in the beginning I was sweet and innocent and scared shitless of driving on the wrong side of the tiny little roads in a tiny European car.

Anyways - so I realized today as I was driving and shouting at random people that the British are very different than Americans when it comes to driving.  Its a lot calmer and more peaceful over here.  There are no horns beeps or fists waving and rarely do I see someone shouting at me.  And I deserve to be shouted at quite often.  At most I will get someone flashing their lights at me when they need to pass when I am daydreaming in the fast lane.  I miss using my horn!!  I enjoy beeping my horn.  It gets shit done.  But now I get shocked and horrified looks when I give someone a few warning beeps.  Well, screw them!  I am American and I have Road Rage!!!!!

At least I don't have a gun.  This one time I was driving.  And was apparently day-dreaming in the fast lane.  And this huge pick-up truck drove up behind me and started freaking out (this was in the US).  So I hit the breaks a few times just to be mean and then I pulled over so he could pass.  The giant hillbilly pick-up truck pulled up next to me and started shouting.  So I shouted back and threw a couple nasty finger gestures as he drove by.  Well, after he got by and realized I shouted back and was nasty - he started slowing down.  And I saw his window come down.  Big red lights started flashing in my head.  What the fuck was I doing shouting at big angry men as I was driving around DETROIT?!?!  Then I saw him wave me forward to pull up next to him...so we could "chat" a bit more.  I immediately slammed on the breaks and pulled into an even farther away lane and hid behind a few more cars.  He tried to follow me but due to my awesome defensive manuevers - I was able to stay away.  But yea - Road Rage and Detroit don't mix.  I can be as mad as I want in England because they don't have guns :P

Pondering...

I strongly dislike the design of this blog!!!  I keep looking at it hoping that it will get better magically and its still just UGLY!!!  I don't know what to do about it.  I am still new at this whole blogging and internet design thing.  Maybe I can draw some kind of background to use.  I'll have to work on that tomorrow.  Just thought I would mention that - so that you all didn't think I have horrible taste!!  I really think this is ugly I just don't know what to do!!!!!  AHHH!!!

My Christmas Vacation

So - I suppose you will all have seen my posts from over the Christmas holidays (if not - see me bragging here and here).  My friend and I had booked a full on week in Tenerife from December 19 through December 26!  Christmas on the beach!!  WOO HOO!!!

But then - winter happened in London.  Now it's snowed for the last 3 years here in London.  Coming from way up north in the US it always amazed me that a whole country can shut down with like 3 inches of snow.  But I love having a few snow days off of work because of a dusting of snow.  Well, it isn't so funny when they shut down the airports the day before you are flying away for a warm sunny beach holiday!

I have made a lovely video so you can all feel sorry for me as you watch my sad sad tragedy unfold.


This experience has taught me a valuable lesson about bragging...or something.
